Let the beat drop!
Major Lazer was announced early today as the new headliner for Yorkfest. This Los Angeles based DJ group will be performing at The Rexall Tuesday September 17 starting at 7 p.m. Alongside Major Lazer the concert will also include performances by Kardinal Offishall and SonReal. The show is free to all York Students and anyone attending is strongly encouraged to bring their YU card to the show.
This announcement comes after the YFS suddenly cancelled Brooklyn rapper A$AP Rocky’s performance at Yorkfest. Rocky was recently in the news regarding allegations that he assaulted a female audience at one of his shows. Major Lazer includes legendary DJ and record producer Diplo who has collaborated and worked with artists like Justin Beiber, Snoop Lion and Beyoncé.
