CUPE 3903 has claimed York has not delivered almost $650,000 worth of salaries over the summer semester.
On August 25, CUPE executive and staff members met with York Faculty Relations representatives.
CUPE says it expected to hear from the employer by August 31.
Joanne Rider, York Media Relations, says the issue has been resolved and students with CUPE summer contracts have been made whole.
Previously, the union representing TAs, RAs, and GAs at York had filed a pay discrepancy grievance on July 9.
The union repeated its demands stated in the grievance, asking York to take serious steps towards compensating the hardships that union members endured, and the time and energy the executive and staff members devoted to sorting out discrepancies.
The CUPE website states that members may need to go back, check their payment amounts, and “calculate the total of their payments to ensure that the Faculty of Graduate Studies delivered what it promised.”
