[su_dropcap style=”simple” size=”5″]W[/su_dropcap]omen are supposed to be strong
But not too strong – so as not to overwhelm the men.
Women are supposed to be beautiful
But not too beautiful – they’ll run into problems then.
Women are supposed to be what other people want
At the expense of their own dreams and souls.
Women are also expected to be modest and not flaunt
The achievement of their own aspirations and goals.
Women face a delicate balance of life.
Many are expected to choose
Between their own careers and becoming a wife.
Women have many struggles to overcome.
They are expected to deal with the prejudices of the world
While keeping a smile on their face and not becoming numb.
If you ask this young woman what she really wants to be,
I’ll shrug, smile, and say that
“I just want to be me.”
