A fool and nothing but a fool
A trembler you might also say
A tool to use, all bent and gray
An instrument that’s put away.
Lies quietly, staring at the ceiling
Checking for rhinestone stars
Inside a bleak and ugly room
Roof won’t give way to sky’s revealing…
’Tis frigid, as in Sahara’s nightly desert
And countless hours will pass by
Before an owner’ll save the day
By talking uselessly of weather…
A stranger from afar
