OCT. 8 – ROBBERY

Two unidentified black males allegedly forced a York community member to the ground and stole his wallet the morning of Oct. 8 report Toronto police. The wallet contained cash, photo ID and other valuables.

York University issued a security alert after the incident, which apparently occurred around 1:30 a.m. in Vanier    Lane, north of York Lanes.

According to the York security, the first suspect was around five-foot-ten with a slim build and was wearing a red hoodie; the second suspect was also around five-foot-ten with a slim build, and was wearing jeans and a black and grey hoodie. The victim was not injured and the suspects were last seen running away toward Common Road.

OCT. 6 – SEXUAL HARASSMENT

A community member complained about an unknown male who allegedly exposed his underwear and made unwanted sexual comments. The incident happened on Common Road and the victim did not want to report the incident to the police.

OCT. 6 – ATTEMPTED THEFT

Two community members allegedly attempted to steal merchandise and exit from the York Lanes Bookstore unnoticed on the same day; however, the attempts failed when witnesses reported them. Both community members were escorted away from the Book- store.

Where’s security? Why aren’t they more visible? They should be conducting regular patrols even if just for show,
This is the worst university Ive ever been to. Study rooms in the library with no ceilings, a gym where they are running out of “Out of Order’ signs, and crime.
I came here for professional studies. My undergrad university was so much better. York truly does suck.
