They always say the best is saved for last and, well, right now you’re looking at it. In a lot of ways, this supplement started out as a question about how health can push the limits and be more than just a few days of exercise and eating healthy.
We all get tired of hearing the same thing every day and frustrated when we realize the advice we’ve been given isn’t working for us. This may be the reason we give up and turn to fast-food restaurants and sit on the couch all day. Either that or we’re just lazy.
Whatever reason finds you struggling to stay healthy, the point of this supplement was to find out how the rest of the world sees health and how different cultures stay healthy, whether it is by drinking herbal tea or meditating to relax your mind. This supplement wasn’t just another way to regurgitate all that’s already been said, but a way to explore health and its meaning to the rest of the world. We’re very much enfolded in the Western culture and the health advice our culture has to offer, but as we can already see, it’s not exactly working.
Canada is sixth in the list of highest obesity rates in the world according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) report released last September, and with obesity rates growing, Canada will soon join the ranks of America and Mexico. Those rates aren’t the only thing to worry about: already six out of ten Canadians are overweight and $30 billion is spent on health costs.
Yeah, you guessed it, we’re fat, but the question now is what are we going to do about it? You can see this health supplement as a guide or as a step toward finding out what works for you. As long as you think about what you read and consider how you can improve your health, then I know I did my job right.
