Keele campus is undergoing a makeover, complete with cranes and crater-sized holes.
Both new and returning students as well as faculty members will find the subway construction going strong come September in the form of construction workers, fences, machines, and obvious road closures.
Access to the south and north sides of the campus are restricted, and detours have been created as alternate means of entrance. The latest diversion to open is the Finch detour, which opened August 15.
For those accustomed to taking York Boulevard—which is currently blocked off with no access to north or south sides of campus—Founders Road is recommended as a trouble-free route, providing access to Ian Macdonald Boulevard as well as easy access to Founders College and the York Lanes Parking Garage.
To gain easier access to the south side of campus, opt for Pond Road.
Aside from road closures and detours, other changes will be happening on Keele campus as a result of the ongoing subway construction.
More details to follow.
