A new Twitter account has tapped into the psyche of York students.

The Twitter account YorkUProblems began tweeting November 16 and caught the attention of York students with its clever tweets regarding the everyday typical problems faced by York students.

The first post that was tweeted read, “the bus line is longer than Kim Kardashian’s marriage…”

The humourous tweets also include: “keeping your winter coat on in lectures because the ac is on during winter,” “The Underground would be such a nice restaurant if it wasn’t in York,” and “so excited for the new subway! LOL jks I won’t even be here when it’s done.”

Wallace Pidgeon of York media relations says that the university is aware of critical media channels on the web.

“The Twitterverse is out there, and at the end of the day if there’s a way we are able to help people, please bring it forward,” says Pidgeon. “The university can be reached for causes and concerns.”
