Located at Bayview and Lawrence, Glendon campus is quiet, peaceful, and far away from the recent security incidents plaguing the Keele campus. Students generally feel safe at Glendon and there is little crime in the gated community.

According to Glendon College Student Union (GCSU) president Andrée Paulin, students at Glendon “generally feel safe on campus.”

Even so, the GCSU is working to plan a forum where students can voice their opinions on security matters. Security, she says, is always an important issue on campus.

Glendon campus itself may be a safe place—there have only been four minor security incidents from January 2 to January 22—but Glendonites are becoming concerned about taking courses at Keele with the recent string of incidents.

“I always hear unsettling stories about Keele to the point where I don’t really like to associate myself with that campus,” admits Samantha Brecknock, a second-year English major. “In light of the Peeping Tom incidents, I find it disgusting how women can’t feel comfortable doing something as private as going to the washroom. I try not to take classes at Keele if I can avoid it.”
